Conversion Rate Calculator
Conversion rate shows what percentage of people who visited a page, saw an offer, or entered a funnel went on to complete the desired action.
The formula
conversion rate = (conversions ÷ total visitors) × 100
Worked example
A page gets 50 conversions from 2,500 visitors:
conversion rate = (50 ÷ 2,500) × 100 = 2%
Frequently asked questions
What is a conversion rate?
Conversion rate is the percentage of visitors, leads, or users who complete a desired action — such as a purchase, signup, or form submission — out of the total number who had the opportunity to do so.
What's a good conversion rate?
It varies widely by industry, traffic source, and what counts as a "conversion" — ecommerce sites often see rates in the low single digits, while a highly targeted landing page might convert much higher. Compare your rate against your own historical performance or close industry benchmarks rather than a single universal number.
Can I use this for leads instead of website visitors?
Yes — the formula works the same whether you're measuring website visitors converting into customers, leads converting into sales, or any other funnel stage converting into the next.
